Inkinen is assisting CyberHawaii with their search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The increasing risk of cyber threats has the potential to cripple state and county governments, public utilities, hospitals, and Hawaii’s main industries – tourism, defense, and construction. CyberHawaii a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was established in late 2016 as an affiliate of CyberUSA, a collaboration of leaders and states focused on a common mission purpose of enabling innovation, education, workforce development, enhanced cyber readiness and resilience.
CyberHawaii is committed to a whole community approach that will help to mitigate cyber risks, develop educational and workforce pathways for students, and invest in innovation and economic development for a cyber-secure and resilient Hawaii. CyberHawaii is a membership organization comprised of diverse and influential members and partners from the private, non-profit, public, and defense sectors. Although it does not provide direct services, CyberHawaii is a trusted organization that brings together resources to engage membership and in support of Hawaii’s small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
CyberHawaii seeks an entrepreneurial, strategic and flexible leader with a diplomatic approach. As the face of the organization, the CEO must be a strong communicator with unquestionable integrity and an established cross-sector network. The successful candidate will have a knack for convening stakeholders and cultivating relationships and partnerships to address a variety of risks that can impact the entire state.
The board desires a proven leader who can develop a strategic plan to grow CyberHawaii’s membership, deliver value, and ensure long-term financial sustainability. CyberHawaii has been successful at accessing government grants, and there is an opportunity to significantly grow grant and corporate funding. Qualified applicants must have the capacity to assess needs and create policies. Nonprofit, board governance and executive management experience are required. Technical knowledge is preferred.
